Peer Learning Group
The peer working group aimed at enhancing personal academic participation and performance. The three planned in-person sessions for this term will focus mainly on understanding feedback, writing essays and tackling difficulties that arise when writing essays etc., The sessions are co-facilitated by student project officers and staff members.
Scheduled events:
In-person session 1: Understanding marking criteria and feedback (29 April 2025 2:00-4:00pm)
Session 1 will focus on understanding marking criteria and feedbacks from previously written assessments and incorporating them in upcoming essays. The session will also include discussions on how to choose assignment topics and how to plan, organise and structure essays.
In-person session 2: Overcoming writing challenges and maximising class time (13 May 2025 2:00-4:00pm)
Session 2 will focus on tackling difficulties that arise when writing. The session will also discuss how to make the best use of lectures - preparing for lectures, understanding difficult texts and contributing in class.
