Pedagogies of Public & Community Engagement

This Learning Circle runs in collaboration with Warwick Institute of EngagementLink opens in a new window (WIE) and will develop recommendations and guidance in the field of the Pedagogy of Public Engagement (teaching and assessment) focused at both UG and PGT level.

Goals 24-25

  • Facilitate knowledge exchange in the Pedagogy of Public and Community Engagement between group members and institutionally via the Digital Pedagogies Library and the WIE Conference 2025.
  • Contribute to discussions on ethics and inclusion in public engagement practice within the university and beyond (e.g. NCCPE panel at WIE Conference 2025).
  • Refocus the group’s efforts on both public and community engagement pedagogies by strengthening their integration into teaching, learning and assessment (i.e. sharing and embedding practice).
  • Establish a forum or network for those interested in Public and Community Engagement Pedagogies beyond the learning circle in order to enhance connections and collaboration across Warwick staff and students
