When a proposal is submitted there are three important conditions that apply:

The proposal has not been submitted for beam time at another synchrotron source.
The work will be "open" and not subject to any restrictions due to commercial confidentiality with an industrial company.
The time to scan all the samples does not exceed one beam shift (8 hours)
