International Centre to Centre Grant
Advancing Science Through High-Field Solid-State NMR Collaboration
This grant aims to maximise the impact of the UK’s investment in high-field solid-state NMR by fostering collaboration between leading UK researchers, international laboratories, and industry partners. By sharing technical expertise and developing advanced NMR methods, the project will enable new scientific breakthroughs across a wide range of applications—from materials and medicines to biological systems. For more detailed information, please follow the UK Research and Innovation grant website.
Our Global Collaboration Network
This project brings together sixteen world-leading research centres and seven key industrial partners to push the boundaries of solid-state NMR science. Together, we represent all ten operational 1.2 GHz NMR systems worldwide equipped for solid-state magic-angle spinning (MAS), along with a wide range of other cutting-edge hardware and capabilities. Our research centres are based across Europe and North America, with leading institutions in France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Sweden, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, and the United States. In addition, we collaborate with seven major industrial partners—AstraZeneca, Bristol-Myers Squibb, Bruker Biospin, Johnson Matthey, Merck, Quotient Sciences, and Pfizer—bringing vital expertise from the pharmaceutical, materials, and instrumentation sectors.
