LibKey and BrowZine

LibKey Nomad is a free browser extension that is compatible with most browsers. To download, go to the Download Nomad webpage and select your web browser of choice (compatible browsers currently include Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari, Vivaldi, and Brave).

Once installed, select "University of Warwick" as your organisation. LibKey Nomad will now be ready to use.

When browsing for scholarly content, LibKey runs in the background to identify any material that links directly to Library subscribed content or Open Access material. If the journal or article is accessible through one of these means, a LibKey Nomad button will automatically generate next to the article information, allowing you to click through to download the article or open it as a PDF.

This item is available through the Library as a PDF. The PDF will either automatically appear or prompt you to download. If authentication is required, please sign in as needed.

Article Link

This item is available through the Library. This link takes you directly to the website in which the article is hosted, either in HTML or PDF format.

Manuscript PDF/Manuscript Link

Item has been found in an accepted manuscript repository. This link will take you to the content, which may be available in a variety of unpublished formats.

A link to BrowZine, where you can view the full journal issue in which the article is published.

LibKey.io allows you to search for materials by their DOI or PubMed ID. Searching for material on LibKey.io will bring up direct links to the material, either through the Library's available content or Open Access options.

Step One:

Open https://libkey.io/libraries/3907 on your preferred browser.

Step Two:

Select your organisation by searching for the "University of Warwick" and select confirm. If you have set up LibKey Nomad previously, the University of Warwick will already appear as your chosen organisation.

Step Three:

In the search bar that generates at the bottom of the screen, paste your DOI or PubMed ID and click "find."

Step Four:

LibKey.io will find the options for accessing the full-text version of the article.

What does is mean if the article is flagged as Retracted or "Expression of Concern"?

If an article has been flagged as Retracted, it means that it has been withdrawn after publication. LibKey.io will provide links to the official retraction articles for review. Additionally, the material will still be available to read if there is a copy available through the Library or through Open Access.

An Expression of Concern is issued when the publisher or editor is concerned about an article post publication. As with the Retracted materials, LibKey.io will link to the official statements by the publisher or editor, and will still provide a link to the material if available.

To use BrownZine on your smartphone or tablet, browse the App Store or Play Store for "BrowZine" and download it for free.

Choose the University of Warwick as your institution.
