What will I learn?
- A clear understanding of what leadership is and be able to articulate how you demonstrate or can demonstrate leadership in your role
- Your authentic leadership brand or style
- Different leadership styles you may choose to adopt to create a different climate within the teams that you lead
- Your personal strengths and strategies to deliver performance outcomes
- Tools and techniques to help you to develop and apply your stretch leadership habits
Is it right for me?
You will benefit from the Warwick Leadership Development Programme if:
- You are you in a role where you are leading other managers or have a role with an external or university-wide scope of influence.
- Your role requires you to operationalise the University’s strategy, provide Academic leadership, shape how a team is run to deliver on objectives, facilitate strategic decision-making and provide key influencing or instigate change.
Less useful if...
- You do not manage a team or are new to a management role.
- You do not manage managers or have a role with an external or university-wide scope of influence
- You would like to learn about operational management skills i.e., giving feedback, setting objectives, team meetings (you may find the Warwick Management Development Programme of interest.)
