Conflict of interest

The University's Personal Conflicts of Interest policy provides guidance on areas where an interest or relationship may conflict, or appear to conflict, with an individual’s role, duties or responsibilities at Warwick.

The policy is to ensure that individuals do not commit acts of impropriety, bias, abuse of authority, favouritism, or leave themselves open to allegations that they have done so.

Individuals can use the Appendix 1 - Personal Conflicts of Interest Disclosure Form to make a declaration.

All University members should read the Financial Procedure 1 - Conflicts of Interest and complete a FP1a form. Please check with your departmental administrator if this is available online and if not, use the link in the Contents section of Financial Procedure 1.

This policy should also be read in accordance with the University's Personal Relationships Policy which sets out the expectations and obligations of the University with respect to intimate relationships between students and staff and between colleagues.
