Terms & Conditions for the award of bursaries/programme places
Please note, as the applicant, your application will be refused if you do not/cannot agree with all the statements below.

.2. By accepting a place on the URSS and a URSS bursary I agree that:
a) I am a current student fully enrolled at the University of Warwick. If my enrolment status changes, I will immediately notify the programme coordinator using the email address provided above.
b) I will engage in full with the requirements of the programme, including attending the URSS showcase event and completing and submitting a research output by Friday 17 October 2025.
c) I will conduct myself in accordance with the Warwick ValuesLink opens in a new window.
d) I will complete as requested short and long-term programme evaluation surveys/questionnaires, including after I graduate from the University.
e) I will provide as requested a brief reflection on the impact of the programme on my personal development. I understand that I may be asked for a reflection at the end of the programme and in future, including after I graduate from the University. When a reflection is requested, I will be provided with more information and asked to sign a consent form explaining how the reflection will be used.
f) I must consent to these Terms and Conditions in order to receive my bursary.
g) I will provide my bank details as requested for receipt of my bursary.
h) My bursary will be a one-off payment in GB pounds.
i) I will return my bursary to the University (or a proportion of my bursary, if agreed by the University) if I do not complete the activity for which the bursary was provided.

As a condition of accepting a place on the URSS and a URSS bursary, I agree to my name, course, and details about my participation in the programme being featured in both online and offline marketing materials, for the purposes of promoting the programme to future applicants and for the purposes of fundraising and alumni engagement. I understand that I may also be asked to provide an image of myself for these purposes and if so, I will be asked to sign a consent form explaining how my image will be used.
4. All successful applicants may be invited to participate in other opportunities to showcase their URSS project at University exhibitions and events. I agree that this may involve sharing my personal data and project information with other departments within the University. I understand that if I do not wish for my details to be shared, I can contact the programme coordinator using the email address provided above.
5. Insurance
I confirm that if travelling overseas, I will complete as requested a risk assessment and abide by any travel safety advice directed to by the University.
a) The participant shall ensure they have adequate insurance coverage in place prior to travel. Individuals travelling abroad on behalf of the University of Warwick (including those for whom the University has responsibility), are automatically covered by a Business Travel insurance policy up until the end of registration. Where final year students are travelling, they cannot guarantee that university Travel Insurance will apply to them. This is not a holiday travel insurance policy and provides cover for University-related business travel only (emergency medical cover only).

c) The Business Travel Insurance does not cover travel to red listed countries.
d) A completed risk assessment is an essential part of the process and must be submitted on eVision.
e) It is recommended that participants also secure separate health insurance prior to travel. If a student is required to sign up to a host country / university health insurance scheme, the student will be responsible for any associated costs.

The University of Warwick will process your personal data provided on this form for the following purposes:
a) Administering your place on the URSS and your bursary.
b) Analysis and research, to better understand the needs of different groups of students.
The legal basis for processing this personal data is your consent as a programme participant.
Your personal data will not be shared or disclosed to any third parties external to the University of Warwick.
